It crosses continents with a new Manufacture Breitling worldtime caliber affording unprecedented user friendliness. It flies straight to the future with a new ultra-resistant tungsten carbide bezel. A double revolution from Breitling. Technical breakthrough, with the new B35 “in-house” caliber. This selfwinding worldtime movement (the very first Manufacture Breitling caliber with no chronograph function) is distinguished by its revolutionary simple operation. Pulling out the crown and turning it forwards or backwards in one-hour increments is enough to correct all the dial indications in one smooth move, including automatic adjustment of the date to local time, in both directions. To provide this unprecedented functionality, Breitling has developed two patented innovations relating to the differential system and the connection between the city disk and the movement. Caliber B35 (chronometer-certified like all Breitling movements) is also protected by two other patents for the winding and time-setting systems. This set of inventions and optimized features aim to reinforce the performance, functionality and reliability of the movement, entirely in keeping with the brand’s ‘aeronautical’ philosophy. The second revolution is of an aesthetic nature. The case is fitted with a brand-new smooth bezel in tungsten carbide, an ultra-resistant high-tech composite material of which the original shade makes a subtle contrast with the polished steel. Tungsten carbide is made from tungsten powder molded at a high temperature and under extremely high pressure. The result is incomparable hardness almost five times greater than that of steel, as well as a scratch-resistant surface able to withstand hard knocks and wear over time. This futuristic ring surrounds a black or white dial with a mobile city disk, 24-hour disk and a center adorned with a filigree-worked globe pattern. Readability is further reinforced by oversized hands and hour-markers enhanced with a luminescent coating. Galactic Unitime SleekT: a sporty, travel-friendly and sophisticated watch for all those who love to combine here and elsewhere, present and future – entirely in tune with the Breitling spirit of “instruments for professionals”.
